Nutty Fudge Bars
DOUGH
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups oatmeal

FILLING
1 cup chopped nuts
2 (6oz) pkg. chocolate chips
15 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

DIRECTIONS
For dough, cream butter, brown sugar and eggs. Add vanilla, flour, baking soda, salt, and oatmeal. Mix well until a dough is formed.
For filling, melt in double boiler the chips, condensed milk, butter, salt and vanilla.
Press 2/3 of dough mixture on a 10x15 greased cookie sheet. Spread with chocolate mixture (filling) and spread 1 cup chopped nuts evenly over top of chocolate mixture. Put remaining 1/3 dough on top. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
