TEXAS SHEET CAKE

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Bake in well greased cookie sheet (one with 1 inch sides).

2 cups sugar

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1 stick of butter or margarine

1 cup water

4 Tbsp powdered cocoa

2 beaten eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. vinegar

1 tsp. baking soda

Frosting recipe follows.

 

In medium bowl, combine sugar, flour, and salt. Set aside.
In small saucepan, melt butter with cocoa and water, bring to boil and cool.
In large bowl, combine 2 beaten eggs, sour cream, vanilla, vinegar and baking soda.
Add sugar/flour mixture, and cooled chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and blend well.
Pour into prepared cookie sheet and smooth evenly.

Bake for 20 minute.

 

FROSTING

2 lbs powdered sugar

2 cups Crisco

1 tsp. vanilla

1/2 cup of water

Put all ingredients together in blender and mix till fluffy.
